Three Year Marketing Plan for Tourism in Gozo

Atriga Consulting Services Ltd was awarded a tender by the Gozo Tourism Association to draft a Three (3) Year marketing plan for tourism in Gozo. This project that was co-financed through the LEADER Funds under the auspices of the Gozo Action Group was completed in June 2015. Following a thorough desk research of tourism in the Maltese Islands, development in other Mediterranean islands as well as the latest statistical data, Atriga Consult developed a set of questionnaires to specific target groups so as to cover the present data gaps. Over three hundred (300) questionnaires were discussed on various sites across Gozo with overnight foreign tourists, overnight local tourists, day-tripper tourists and day-tripper locals.
The data gathered through this field research as well as the desk research was collated into a report on the current tourism status in Gozo with a marketing plan for the coming three (3) years.
A national conference on tourism in Gozo was eventually held on 27th May 2016, in which the findings and recommendations were presented by Atriga Consult’s managing consultant to a myriad of stakeholders and representatives of the general public.
